There are two cold room areas. The first is a pre-cool area where the flowers arrive and the outdoor heat is removed, swiftly halting the development of the flower. The second area has two cold rooms, one for the hydration and cooling of the end product, and the other for packing the flowers prior to dispatch. After processing, the flower is hydrated for at least 7 hours at temperatures ranging from 1 to 4 ºC. Throughout this time, the flower is hydrated with a high-quality, certified, commercial floral preservative.
These cold rooms have Aerocide equipment to constantly disinfect the air, with additional units to remove the ethylene, thus preventing premature aging and the development of disease while preserving the quality of the flower.
